Pulau Merah (Red
 Island) is one of the attractions located in the village Sumberagung, 
District Pesanggaran, Banyuwangi, East Java province, or is about eighty
 kilometers from the town of Banyuwangi. This tourist attraction is actually a beach where there is a small island in the middle of its shores. This small island has a reddish soil so that the locals call it by the name of Red Island or Red Island.
The beaches around Pulau Merah (Red Island) is an area of water that is still beautiful and clean. With white sand beaches stretching brownish long coastline of about three kilometers. This place is also much visited by tourists, especially on holidays. One of the spectacular scenery that served this place is a panoramic sunset. At
 the time of sunset will shine tinge of reddish orange light behind the

for professional surfers, in coastal areas around the Red Island is safe
 waves for surfers beginners and amateurs with an average height of the 
waves about two meters. The beach is also becoming a new destination for surfers, both local and foreign surfers. Moreover,
 on 24-26 May 2013 and held an international surfing competitions the 
first time on this beach, "Red Island Banyuwangi International Surf 
Competition 2013".
